- Ekologie ptáků podél výškových gradientů tropických hor, jejich vliv na společenstva hmyzu a různé procesy probíhající v tropických lesích.
- Potravní vztahy mezi hmyzožravými ptáky a hmyzem, schopnost ptáků reagovat na těkavé látky vylučované rostlinami jakožto reakce na býložravý okus.
