Description

Antiviral strategies in Apis mellifera. The aim of the PhD project is to establish tools for suppressing viral infections in honey bee colonies by enhancing the bees’ natural antiviral immunity. To achieve this goal, two distinct yet mutually supportive strategies will be employed: the search for natural antiviral compounds and the vaccination of bees against Deformed Wing Virus (DWV).
