Parasitology Institute Team Wins the Biology Centre Volleyball Tournament
The traditional Biology Centre volleyball tournament took place once again on the last Saturday of November, marking its eleventh edition. Four teams composed of players from the scientific institutes of the Biology Centre competed for the trophy: the Parasitology Institute, the Entomology Institute, the Hydrobiology Institute, and the team of the Technical and Administrative Services, reinforced by players from the Institute of Soil Biology and Biogeochemistry. All teams delivered well-balanced performances, and the overall level of play was very high.
This year’s winner was the team from the Parasitology Institute (pictured above), consisting of Veronika Urbanová, Eva Doleželová, Jan Perner, Tomáš Korytář, Martin Strnad, and Jirka Urban. The Entomology team finished in second place, and the Hydrobiology team came in third. The tournament featured many close matches and excellent volleyball moments, appreciated by both players and spectators.
After the tournament, informal celebrations of both victories and losses took place in the clubhouse, with the pleasant atmosphere lasting into the evening. Thank you for your great participation, and congratulations to the winners!
