Description

Daniel's project is on understanding the evolutionary and ecological mechanisms of phenotypic convergences in neotropical skipper butterflies. Daniel conducts behavioural experiments using wild birds in Europe and South America, to understand learning and generalization patterns driven by different prey phenotype cues. Daniel also uses butterfly phenotypic datasets to study the evolution of converging phenotypes in a phylogenetic framework.
