Foreword
Nowadays, digital imaging rapidly increases its role
in image processing in biology as well as in other fields of science. That
phenomenon is very well known- you can read some information concerning
digital imaging, digital photography, digital video recording etc. not
only in scientific literature, but daily in various newspapers and journals.
We would like to reflect those trends preferably in our field- in entomology,
but applications to other fields of biology are interesting to us, too.
It is our effort to make most of
information on our web site accessible to our visitors from our country
as well as from abroad. Due to this reason our web site exists in two versions:
English and Czech. On the opposite, some facts are of local importance
mainly. Such information exists in Czech version only (that fact is always
indicated). Some "internationally intelligible" data exist, on the opposite,
in English version only.
We would like to express, that
this web site is "living". We mean that we add actual information
step by step according to our free time. In the case you are not able to
find some actual information, please, wait some time. It is highly probable
that we are just preparing that information and you will find it as soon
as possible.
