Past meetings PHOTOKINA 2000 September 20-25, 2000, Köln/Rhein
Grant No.362/2000from FRVŠ of Ministry
of Health, Youth and Sports (Innovation of photographic methods classes
for biologists) enabled me to visit biggest exhibition of photography in
the world. Exhibition PHOTOKINA 2000 has been realized from 20 to 25 September.

Our visit of the most popular Czech
exhibition of computers and communication. Because of local importance

Traditional seminar orgaized by
Biological institute of LF UK in Plzeň in cooperation with Reference laboratory
of optical microscopy of the company Olympus C&S (LF UK in Plzeň).

EXHIBITION October 23-24, Jindřichův Hradec
Miniexhibition "Může být věda krásná
aneb Půvab vědecké fotografie" ("Might science be beautiful or graace of
scientific photography"), has been posted by mine during ocasion of
XXII- international symposium of phototechnique in the city of
Jindřichův Hradec on October 23-24, 2000. Exhibition has been based on
digital techniques among professional photographers. For the picture

Weyda F.: News in digital imaging
usable in biological laboratory. November 23, 2000 at 01:00 p.m.,
lecture room in the Institute of Entomology AV ČR, České Budějovice. Lecture
has been organized by Department of general biology, Biological faculty
of SouthBohemian university especially for the students of that university.
Due to that reason it was realized in the framework of the project FRVŠ
No.362/2000 "Inovace výuky fotografických metod pro biology" (Innovation

Last lecture for 2000 hase been
done on December 18, 2000 on seminar of General biology department and
Laboratory of digital imaging in entomology. Subject: "F.Weyda- Digitální
technika ve výuce a pracech studentů" (Digital technique in education and
thesis of students"). Seminar has been realized in the framework of the
project FRVŠ No.362/2000 "Inovace výuky fotografických metod pro biology"
(Innovation of photographic methods classes for biologists). Sylabus of

Conference organized by Mgr.Veronika
Vymětalová (vymetalv@vscht.cz). I presented a lecture there: "Weyda F.:

Planetárium České Budějovice
Author exhibition (F.Weyda) based
on digital photographs from scanning electron microscope (SEM). Exhibiton
has been financially supported by the company Olympus C&S and has been
organized in the framework of grant from FRVŠ especially for the students

Short visit of Zoological institute
of Vienna university
I have visited on December 11, 2000
that institute where I have very good friends having with them bilateral
seminars in Vienna or in Ceske Budejovice in past. My last visit was realized
in the framework of the project FRVŠ No.362/2000 "Inovace výuky fotografických
metod pro biology" (Innovation of photographic methods classes for biologists).
I have investigated there how teachers of that institute use digital techniques
during teaching. It was very interestiing experience for me- report (in

Lecture
On March 8, 2001 a lecture: "Weyda
F.- Digitální filmování a digitální fotografie přírodnin" (Digital movie-making
and digital macrophotography of natural objects) has been presented. Lecure
has been completed by exhibition (see next section).
Lecture
On March 20, 2001 we present lecture:
"Weyda F.: Use of digital processing of images in zoology" in lecture hall
of Department of Zoology, Faculty of Natural History of Charles University
in Prague. That lecture opened cycle of lectures we plan to realize for

Exhibition "Interkamera 2001"
On April 3 to 6, 2001 that famous
exhibition took place in Prague. Due to its much smaller size it cannot
be concurrent to big exhibition PHOTOKINA, but some "hot news" appeared

6th Central European Workshop
on Soil Zoology April 23-25, 2001, České Budějovice
Popular meeting of scientists from
countries surrounding our republic will be held in České Budějovice again.
We have presented poster entitled "Weyda F.: SCIENTIFIC DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY
AND ITS APPLICATION TO MODERN ZOOLOGICAL RESEARCH" (click
